  • Built with Ruby on Rails, Alpine.js, and TailwindCSS
  • Deployed with Heroku, uses S3 & Cloudflare to serve static assets
  • Processes background jobs using Sidekiq and Redis
  • Over 50,000 monthly users via organic SEO
  • Has analyzed over 100,000 skincare ingredient lists so far

2018 - Present

Adventure travel blog about off-the-beaten-path destinations

  • Wordpress-based and uses a custom theme that I developed
  • Receives over 5,000 readers per month

About Me

I grew up in Ottawa, Canada.

I love to travel to off-the-beaten-path destinations, and over the last few years, I was able to travel to places that I never imagined I'd be able to see.
Some of my favourite experiences that I've had are:

  • Solo-trekking through the mountains of Afghanistan's Wakhan Corridor
  • Hitchhiking around Northern Pakistan
  • 5000-kilometer road trip to almost every corner of Kyrgyzstan
  • Travelling by train across Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway
  • Trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal
  • Camping on a remote section of the Great Wall of China
